Kanye West and his wife Bianca Censori made an unexpected appearance at the 2025 Grammy Awards red carpet, leading to confusion about whether they were invited or escorted out of the venue.

Despite being nominated for Best Rap Song for "Carnival," reports conflict about whether West was officially invited to the ceremony. The rapper, along with his wife and an entourage of approximately five people, arrived at the Crypto.com Arena early in the evening.

West, 47, wore an all-black ensemble, while Censori, 30, initially appeared in an oversized black fur coat before revealing a sheer mini-dress underneath. The couple recreated poses reminiscent of West's Vultures 1 album cover during their photo opportunity.

Shortly after their red carpet appearance, the couple was seen departing in a silver car. While some sources claim they were escorted out, others maintain they left voluntarily. "He walked the red carpet and then got in his car and left," a source told Page Six.

This marks West's first Grammy appearance in ten years, with his last attendance dating back to 2015. Prior to the event, he notably unfollowed everyone except Taylor Swift on Instagram. West described his wife's controversial dress as "custom couture" designed "for the most beautiful woman ever, my love, my best friend, my wife" – a notable statement following reports of their relationship difficulties in October 2023.
