Eventix Partners With Spotify to Integrate Concert Ticket Sales on Streaming Platform
Eventix has announced a new integration partnership with Spotify, allowing event organizers to promote and sell tickets directly through the streaming platform. The Amsterdam-based ticketing solution provider will join established players like Ticketmaster, See Tickets, and AXS in offering direct ticket sales through Spotify.

Under the new partnership, event tickets will link directly to Eventix-powered ticket shops, with Spotify collecting a commission on sales. While organizers must opt into the program, several major festivals, including Paaspop and Draaimolen, are already participating in varying capacities.
Eventix CEO Joost Aanen emphasized the strategic importance of meeting fans where they already are: "This partnership bridges the gap between artists and their audiences. There's no better place than Spotify, where people are listening every day."
The integration builds upon Spotify's enhanced Live Events Feed, launched in June 2022, which replaced the previous Concert Hub. This personalization-focused feature primarily promotes tickets sold through major ticketing platforms.
This development comes amid Spotify's broader push into live events, following their recent integration with Bandsintown in February 2024. Bandsintown reported impressive results in 2024, with 7.5 billion concert recommendations generating over 230 million ticket purchase clicks.

The timing is particularly significant as the festival sector faces challenges, with over 170 events cancelled in 2024 and signs of slowing sales for early 2025. The success of this integration could provide valuable insights into the future of digital ticket sales and event promotion.
