The concert, organized by Live Nation, AEG Presents, and the Irving Azoff family, aims to support families displaced by the devastating wildfires that began January 7. The fires have claimed 24 lives and destroyed over 12,000 buildings in Los Angeles county.
While the official lineup remains unconfirmed, the Eagles' participation seems possible given their current schedule. The band is performing their Las Vegas Sphere residency through April 12, with shows on January 17, 18, 24, and 25. Their calendar is clear on January 30, the date of FireAid, and they don't return to the Sphere until February 14.
The wildfires have significantly impacted the music industry, with Universal Music Group reporting over 50 employees displaced. Those interested in supporting relief efforts can find resources through various charitable organizations dedicated to helping affected individuals and families.
The Eagles' substantial donation demonstrates the music industry's commitment to supporting the Los Angeles community during this crisis, with more artists and industry leaders expected to contribute to the relief efforts.
