The lawsuit, filed in New York state court, alleges the documentary presents unsubstantiated accusations of serious crimes, including serial murder and sex trafficking. Combs' legal team argues that NBCUniversal deliberately disregarded truth in favor of sensationalism.

The 90-minute documentary features interviews with former associates and alleged victims, exploring allegations of violence and abuse throughout Diddy's career. It also covers the deaths of Notorious B.I.G. and Kim Porter. The lawsuit claims the documentary portrays Combs as a "monster" without proper evidence.
Led by attorney Erica Wolff, Combs' legal team argues that NBCUniversal prioritized profits over journalistic integrity. While the lawsuit seeks damages, Combs has not requested an injunction to stop the documentary's distribution.

Combs is currently incarcerated at Brooklyn's Metropolitan Detention Center, facing multiple civil and criminal cases, including charges of sexual misconduct and racketeering. His federal trial is scheduled for May 2025, where he could face life imprisonment if convicted.
NBCUniversal has not yet responded to the lawsuit. Legal experts suggest this case could set precedents for media accountability and influence how streaming platforms handle controversial biographical content in the future. The outcome may redefine the balance between investigative journalism and defamation in digital media.
