Dead & Company and John Mayer Take Over Las Vegas Sphere for 14-Show Residency
Dead & Company and John Mayer are set to perform a 14-show residency at Las Vegas's Sphere venue starting May 2024, following U2's 40-show run that concludes in March.

The band, featuring Grateful Dead founder Bob Weir and guitarist John Mayer, confirmed the news on social media despite their farewell tour ending at San Francisco's Oracle Park in July 2023. "In 2023, Dead & Company played their final tour. But there are other ways to make sure the music never stops," the band stated on Instagram.
The residency will take place at the $2.3 billion Sphere venue, a Madison Square Garden spin-off that opened last April. The location appeals to the band members due to its fixed location, eliminating the need for extensive touring.
James Dolan, owner of MSG and the Sphere, has also secured Phish for a four-night run in April and is reportedly in discussions with other major artists, including Beyoncé.
The Sphere shares ground with The Venetian's newly opened concert hall, The Voltaire, which currently hosts Christina Aguilera's residency through March.
