Concord Acquires Daddy Yankee's Music Catalog in Historic $217.3 Million Deal
Concord has officially acquired Daddy Yankee's catalog for $217.3 million, including his publishing rights, masters, and certain name, image, and likeness rights from 2002 through 2019.

The deal encompasses five studio albums, starting with 2002's El Cangri.com, along with numerous successful non-album singles. The acquisition represents a significant investment in Latin music, which continues to see substantial growth in major markets including the U.S., Brazil, Mexico, and Argentina.
Concord CEO Bob Valentine emphasized Daddy Yankee's influential role in both reggaeton and pop music, noting his lasting cultural impact. The company plans to manage the catalog from its Miami office and has expressed intentions to pursue additional acquisitions in the Latin music space.
The transaction aligns with the growing importance of Latin music in the global market, as evidenced by increasing revenue figures reported by the RIAA.
