The cancellation marks a significant shift for Anitta, who previously performed at Coachella in 2022 alongside Snoop Dogg and Saweetie, and made a guest appearance during Peso Pluma's 2024 set.

"I was really looking forward to being at Coachella this year, but due to unexpected personal reasons, I won't be able to perform," Anitta announced on X/Twitter, expressing gratitude for the festival's understanding and support.

Recent collaborations highlight Anitta's prominent position in the music industry, including:

  • A duet with Kylie Minogue at Hyde Park performing "Can't Get You Out Of My Head"
  • Work with Måneskin's Victoria De Angelis on "GET UP BITCH! (Shake Ya Ass)"
  • A memorable performance with The Weeknd in Brazil, featuring their track "São Paulo"

Coachella 2025's lineup still boasts impressive headliners including Lady Gaga, Charli XCX, Megan Thee Stallion, Post Malone, Travis Scott, Green Day, Missy Elliott, Benson Boone, Blackpink's Lisa and Jennie, FKA Twigs, and Beabadoobee. However, the continued availability of tickets for both weekends suggests a potential decline in festival enthusiasm among live music fans.
