Chris Brown and Drake's hit collaboration "No Guidance" (2019) has achieved Diamond certification from the RIAA, marking Chris Brown's first Diamond award after surpassing 10 million units in sales.

The achievement comes amid a significant copyright infringement lawsuit. Artists Tykeiya Dore and Marc Stephens are suing Brown and Drake for $5 million, claiming "No Guidance" copied their 2016 song "I Got It." The lawsuit alleges similarities in chord progressions, tempo, pitch, key, melody, harmony, rhythm, and lyrics.

Key lawsuit details:

  • Filed in New Jersey
  • Claims the main lyric was changed from "I Got It" to "You got it"
  • Names multiple co-writers and producers as defendants
  • Includes RCA Records and other music publishers
  • Also targets YouTube/Google for related defamation claims

This is the second copyright lawsuit involving "No Guidance," with a previous case from 2021 being dropped. The current lawsuit remains ongoing while the song continues to achieve commercial success.
