Celine Dion recently issued a warning to fans about unauthorized AI-generated music mimicking her voice across digital streaming platforms. The alert comes following her surprise performance at a TGL golf event in Palm Beach Gardens, where she sang a brief rendition of "My Heart Will Go On."

The 56-year-old singer emphasized that these AI recordings are "fake and not approved" and do not belong to her official discography. While specific platforms weren't named, numerous unauthorized AI-generated tracks featuring Dion's voice-alike can be found on YouTube and other services.

Despite battling stiff-person syndrome, a rare neurological disorder that has kept her from performing since 2020, Dion has shown signs of potential comeback. Her appearance at the Paris Olympics last year and recent public engagements suggest she may be considering a return to performing.

Her last studio album, "Courage," was released in 2019, with the corresponding concert series halted due to both COVID-19 lockdown measures and her health condition. The extended absence from public performance has likely contributed to the proliferation of AI-generated content.

The issue of AI soundalikes extends beyond Dion, affecting the broader music industry. Sony Music recently highlighted its efforts to combat unauthorized AI recordings, including a $16 million investment in Vermillio, an AI licensing and monetization startup.

Dion's recent public appearances, including the TGL golf event interview where she appeared healthy and engaged, hint at the possibility of future performances, though no official announcements have been made regarding new residencies or concerts.
