Concerns are growing over Billy Ray Cyrus's health following his troubled performance at the Liberty Ball inauguration event. The 63-year-old singer experienced significant technical difficulties during his renditions of "Achy Breaky Heart" and "Old Town Road."

During the performance, Cyrus appeared disoriented, asking the audience, "Check? Is anybody awake?" and questioning whether he should continue or leave the stage. While he later defended his appearance in a statement to People magazine, citing equipment malfunctions, his family has expressed serious concerns about his wellbeing.

His son Trace, 35, published an emotional open letter on Instagram, stating, "The man that I wanted so desperately to be just like, I barely recognize now. We are all hanging on to memories of the man we once knew, and hoping for the day he returns. You're not healthy, Dad, and everyone is noticing it."

Adding to these concerns, Cyrus's ex-wife Firerose, who divorced him after seven months of marriage, told The New York Post that his public behavior mirrors private struggles she witnessed during their relationship. She emphasized the importance of confronting the truth for potential healing.

Despite the technical issues, Cyrus maintained his commitment to the event, stating he "wouldn't have missed the honor of playing this event whether my microphone, guitar, and monitors worked or not," highlighting his dedication to perform for the audience regardless of circumstances.
