The 24-year-old Vienna native, who spent his formative years in Dubai before returning to Austria in 2016, is known for his distinctive soprano-range voice and performances at the Vienna State Opera. This marks Austria's third Eurovision victory, following Udo Jürgens (1966) and Conchita Wurst (2014).

Warner Music Central Europe Co-Presidents Dorren Schimk and Fabian Debres praised JJ's innovative sound and ability to connect with audiences across Europe.

Spotify streaming data revealed other notable performances during Eurovision week:

  • Sweden's KAJ: "Bara Badu Bastu" - 5.6 million streams

Interestingly, Celine Dion's 1988 Eurovision winner "Ne Partez Pas Sans Moi" experienced a 55% increase in global streams and a 610% spike across Europe as the contest returned to Switzerland.
