The 24-year-old Vienna native, who spent his formative years in Dubai before returning to Austria in 2016, is known for his distinctive soprano-range voice and performances at the Vienna State Opera. This marks Austria's third Eurovision victory, following Udo Jürgens (1966) and Conchita Wurst (2014).
Warner Music Central Europe Co-Presidents Dorren Schimk and Fabian Debres praised JJ's innovative sound and ability to connect with audiences across Europe.
