A new HomePod featuring a 7-inch display screen is reportedly in development at Apple, with plans for release in 2025. The device will be powered by an A18 chip and include enhanced AI capabilities through Apple Intelligence support.

The upcoming smart home hub is described as resembling a "square iPad" that can be either wall-mounted or attached to a speaker base. China-based manufacturer Tianma has been selected to provide competitively-priced LCD panels for the device, suggesting Apple aims to keep the final product reasonably priced.

- Widget-oriented home screen
- Advanced Siri integration
- HomeKit compatibility
- Built-in camera for FaceTime calls
- Home security capabilities with camera footage display
