50 Cent Claims Jay-Z Attempted to Block His 2022 Super Bowl Performance
50 Cent claims Jay-Z attempted to block his appearance at the 2022 Super Bowl Halftime Show performance, which ultimately featured Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Kendrick Lamar, and Mary J. Blige.

During a recent interview on "Talk With Flee" with Cam'ron, 50 Cent explained that Jay-Z, who has been organizing the Super Bowl Halftime Show through Roc Nation since 2019, allegedly told Eminem that the NFL had issues with 50 Cent's participation.
50 Cent questioned this claim, pointing out his successful business relationships with 11 major league sports teams through his Sire Spirits liquor company. He suggested the attempted blockage stemmed from unnecessary competition within hip-hop culture rather than legitimate concerns.
According to 50 Cent, his participation in the show was ultimately secured through Eminem's intervention. The Detroit rapper reportedly threatened to boycott the performance if 50 Cent wasn't included, as confirmed in a separate interview with The Hollywood Reporter.
"I think when it goes past the music itself to blocking things in business, then I don't understand that," 50 Cent stated, noting that the competitive behavior seemed particularly unnecessary given that Jay-Z had no new music to promote at the time.
The 2022 Super Bowl Halftime Show went on to become one of the most celebrated performances in recent years, featuring a star-studded lineup of hip-hop legends performing their greatest hits.
